Our Aspen Story

It all began when Lauren, a Jersey girl turned longtime New Yorker, matched with Joe, a nice Midwestern boy from Omaha who had just moved back to the city with one goal in mind: find a nice Jewish girl to marry. Two dates in, the spark was undeniable—but timing wasn’t exactly on their side.

Their first date at Temple Bar was followed by several weeks apart while Lauren spent time in the Hamptons, delaying the second date. When it finally happened, neither wanted too much time to pass before seeing each other again. The only hitch? Joe was set to leave for a trip out west the next day.

On the date he boldly asked Lauren to join him in Aspen for date number three. At first, she thought, “Who goes to Aspen with a guy they barely know?” But after sleeping on it, with a few positive nudges from friends and family, and mainly Joe’s persistent follow ups, she decided to pack her bags and take a chance on love.

That leap of faith paid off. Between long mountain hikes, big conversations, and the ultimate relationship test, traveling together, they quickly realized this wasn’t just a summer romance, it was the start of forever.

And now, everything has come full circle, as the place where it all began becomes the place where they say “I do.” Aspen has held a special place in their story, and Lauren and Joe couldn’t be more excited to welcome their family and friends to celebrate their love in the same mountains that first lifted their love to new heights.
